  • Brainerd Place Project approved and demolition of structures has begun. Permanent project manager assigned December 2021. OSTA Bond posted for work within the State of CT ROW. 

  • Special Permit was approved by P&ZC February 2018. Amend special permit was approved September 2020.

  • The Office of State Traffic Authority (OSTA) approved the Traffic Plan February 2019. The developer, BRT-DiMarco will start construction winter 2021.

Action Item

  • The EDC supported BRT/Dimarco PTP, LLC's recent special permit modification, approved by the PZC on September 17, 2020. The modifications adjusted included revisions to the number of parking space, increased the size of a commercial building, and moved 7 apartments from Phase 2 to Phase 1 to assist the developer in closing on their financing package and moving ahead with construction despite the pandemic.
