In June 2021, the Connecticut Greenways Co.uncil accepted the nomination of The Portland Air Line Trail Spur as a Connecticut designated green way.
In June 2021, the BOS and EDC funded the design and printing of foldable Z-card maps of the Portland Spur of the Air Line Trail Park The maps feature a QR code that links to the Town website to promote restaurants, retail, and other parks and trails.
Portland Parks and Recreation has designed a web based, interactive Happy Trails map, which allows users to explore Portland's public trails and plan their trips.
Portland Town Park opened on July 20, 2020 featuring a 3/4 mile paved walking track.
